Minecraft On Nintendo 3DS With DSCraft
R4 3DS with DScraft = Minecraft on Your Nintendo 3DS XL!
DScraft is a DS homebrew adaptation of the popular game Minecraft. At the moment this is a rather complete adptation of 'creative mode' (or minecraft Classic), which means there is only exploration and creation in this version.
DScraft was made by smealum alone in his spare time and is in no way associated with Minecraft or Mojang. It shows what the amazing talents of one really good developer / programmer can do, with their hard work and love of making games.
Instructions
You will need to have an R4 3DS card in order to be able to play this game. It does not install to the SD Card for your Nintendo 3DS, but instead to a micro SD card that you can use with your R4 3DS. Any one of these R4 3DS cards will work and let you play the game.
Simply drag and drop DScraft.nds and the dscraft directory to your card. (NO NEED to transfer the separate worlds directory)
IMPORTANT - if using nitroFS version, dscraft directory MUST BE in the same directory as DScraft.nds.
if using FAT version, dscraft directory MUST BE at the root of the card.
Included are a 'worlds' directory and mapGen program. The worlds directory contains several pre-generated worlds for you to explore; simply drag and drop the files to the dscraft/worlds directory to install each one.
The mapGen program is used to generate new worlds. Simply execute it and follow the steps.
New worlds can be installed by copying .map files to the dscraft/worlds directory.
Texture packs can be installed by unzipping them in a directory in the dscraft/packs folder.
Screenshots are stored in the dscraft/screens directory.

- Tons of blocks !
- (Basic) Dynamic water
- Hand!
Download DSCraft:
- DScraft FAT version (This works on all R4 3DS Cards)
- DSCraft NitroFS Version (In case the above does not work)
Installation Instructions:
Installing the game on your card couldn't be easier. Open the downloaded RAR file and find the folder 'dscraft' and the file 'DScraft.nds'.
Put both of these files onto the root directory of your flashcard or its included memory stick.
'Root', if you're unaware, simply refers to the main directory you see when you first open up your card, i.e. the first or top-most directory in the hierarchy
If all goes to plan, the game should now be playing. Choose 'Singleplayer', choose 'Testmap.map', and get started!
3DScraft
3DScraft is a 3DS homebrew adaptation of the popular game Minecraft. At the moment it is akin to a very basic version of Minecraft's creative mode : you can run around, fly, destroy blocks, place blocks, all in an infinite world generated procedurally in real time. All modifications made to the world are saved to the SD card so that progress isn't lost. Best of all, the game can run in stereoscopic 3D and it looks, like, really cool.
3DScraft is being made by smea alone in his spare time and is in no way associated with Minecraft, Mojang or Microsoft.
3DScraft's full source code is available for free on github.
You can follow smea on twitter.

3DScraft.zip v141120
(NINJHAX-compatible version)
Instructions
3DScraft being a homebrew application, it requires a homebrew-enabling 3DS exploit to be run. Currently, the only way to do so on all 3DS consoles (2DS and New 3DS included) and firmware versions in the 4.0-9.2 range is NINJHAX. NINJHAX was released on November 20th and requires that the user own Cubic Ninja, a 3DS game.
Installing 3DScraft to your NINJHAX-enabled console is as easy as installing any other homebrew application. More specifically, simply download 3DScraft.zip (link to the right) and extract its contents at the root of your SD card. That should be enough, but to be safe, you should make sure that you have a directory named SD:/3ds/3dscraft/ which contains the following files : 3dscraft.3dsx and 3dscraft.smdh.
3DScraft world files should also be saved to this SD:/3ds/3dscraft/ folder. They will have .world as an extension.
